Moraira is a traditional fishing port, in the centre of 8 kilometres of coastline, with fine white sand beaches such as Portet or L’Ampolla, and small coves such as Andragó or Cap Blanc.
For much of the year, its Mediterranean waters are excellent for practising sports such as sailing or scuba diving, thanks to its special microclimate (the average annual temperature is 18ºC).
Moraira is an ideal destination for hiking enthusiasts, as it offers a wide variety of marked routes and trails, such as Font Santa, Benimarco, Castellons or Cap d’Or, with beautiful views of the bay. These typically Mediterranean landscapes are characterised by pine forests and vineyards.
Many sporting events are held in Moraira, such as the “300 Millas a Tres” regatta (January), the Nado Crossing (August) and the Moraira-Santa Eulalia sailing regatta (September).
